‘We are all lonely these days’

Iran actress Setareh Eskandari has paid tribute to recently demised director of ifilm series ‘Passion to Fly’.

The popular actress co-starring in Yadollah Samadi’s ‘Passion to Fly’ showed her deep sorrow in a Friday ceremony to bid farewell to the director.

 She said in a written eulogy, “We are all lonely these days … You never know how lonely we felt to pick up the Haft Seen”, referring to the director’s other series ‘The Haft Seen’”  

‘Passion to Fly’ director has also made several motion pictures such as ‘The Bus’ (1985), ‘Station’ (1987), ‘Apartment 13’ (1990), ‘Two and a Half People’ (1991), ‘The Miracle of Laughter’ (1996), ‘My Lady’ (2002), ‘City of Chaos’ (2005), ‘Private Precinct’ (2008) and ‘The Other’s Father’ (2014).

‘The Man Who Knew A Lot’ (1984), directed by Samadi, has received a Crystal Simorgh for Best Director.

Samadi died at the age of 66 on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.
